Yunni are a tribe in Dust: A Tale of the Wired West.

Background

The Yunni Tribe is an indigenous group who made their home in the American Southwest near Diamondback, New Mexico. The Yunni people hold a profound respect for the natural world, believing that the spirits of their ancestors inhabit the land, animals, and plants. This spiritual connection influences their practices, rituals, and interactions.

The Stranger learns about the Yunni people during his time in Diamondback. He learns that they have been pushed off their land by the United States government, and the Santa Marta Mission they founded has been abandoned. He hears about their struggles against encroaching Americans and their efforts to protect their land and way of life.

Sonoma, a member of the tribe, asks the Stranger to find five items of cultural value for her in exchange for access to Devil's Breath mine.

Day 4

In the last day, the Stranger visits Devils' Breath mine and solves several puzzles accessible by using the five items. He then learns that his mother was a member of the Yunni and he is half Native American, named Ahote.

Endings

One of the choices at the end of the game is to give the treasure to Sonoma to help rebuild the Yunni Tribe.
