Vladimir Lenin was a Russian communist revolutionary, politician and political theorist who served as head of government of Soviet Russia.
Importance
If Carlson leaves the RMS Titanic with the notebook the Communist takeover of Russia does not occur and Lenin, Trotsky and other Russian revolutionaries are executed.
However, if he fails to retrieve it the Communists seize power from the Czar and both a weakened Germany and Britain are forced to surrender to the Soviets who transform Europe into a single Soviet Socialist Republic (the latter also happens if Vlad leaves the ship with with the Rubaiyat and/or real necklace).
