Marie Macintosh
Marie Antoinette Macintosh is the daughter of Cosimo Macintosh, Mayor of Diamondback.
Background
She is 18 years old and bored with life in the small town, which she writes about in her diary. Her parents, Cosimo and Mrs. Macintosh are attempting to arrange a marriage between her and a wealthy Boston businessman, Radisson Bloodstone-Hayes. She disagrees with her father's decision to make the Stranger the new sheriff of the town.
Day 3 Morning
Marie is outside her house. Answering trivia questions about her correctly results in being allowed entrance to her home. Her diary can be found upstairs in a bedroom wardrobe, but several pages are torn out. The rest of the pages are found in a drawer in the Santa Marta Mission. If the Stranger goes to the Diamondback Bank & Trust, Raddison will be there, warning the Stranger to stay away from Marie.
Day 3 Afternoon
Due to the arrival of The Kid, Marie is being sent to Dry Rot for safety by her parents. She can be found at Bolivar's Dry Goods, where she will state she has "discovered that you aren't exactly a paragon from the Scriptures."
Day 3 Night
Marie asks the Stranger to ring the bells by the Mission and meet her in the graveyard. She asks for the Yunni artifacts to join the Stranger in his quest. If he declines, her facade breaks, and it is revealed that she is trying to steal them for Raddison. If he agrees, Marie shoots him to death. When the Stranger is confronted by Raddison in the Mission, he calls Marie a "hayseed" that he never intended to marry, instead using her to steal from her father.
Notes
One of the endings of the game involves the Stranger leaving Diamondback with Marie, and moving to Argentina.
